Floyd Kalber Arrives in Chicago: October, 1960

Curator's note: Not long after Floyd Kalber's arrival in Chicago in the fall of 1960, NBC distributed the photo below (shot by Maurice Seymour) along with the following caption: "Floyd Kalber, former news director of KMTV in Omaha, Neb., is the newest member of the WNBQ-WMAQ news staff. Joining the Chicago group on October 1st, he is seen mornings at 7:25 and 8:25 a.m. on local cut-in on the Dave Garroway Today Show and, Sunday nights at 10:00 p.m. Along with Newsman Len O'Connor, he will give local election news the night of November 8." The curator thanks Rick Rann for providing this photograph.
